Subject: Search for Barbie Day 5

Hi everyone,

I'm just back after papering the entire mall with flyers about Barbie. Last night I was up until 2:00 am preparing the 1/2 sheet size flyers, and at 7:30 or so I got up and thought I'd take Beaz on a short walk... Beasley decided otherwise.

Letting Beasley take me wherever he thought looked good to him sounded like a good idea to me, so we headed off down the street. Soon, Beasley took me over into the next neighborhood, and between the houses, through the church yard, between more houses, across the streets through more yards... pretty quickly, the backyards turned into ravines, and we were scrambling through the underbrush. Way down in the ravine, we did find one dog poop (not terribly fresh), but I don't know if it was Barbie's. I also saw a few areas that looked "matted" in the weeds, as if something had been sleeping there.

No Barbie though. I called and called, listened and listened.

We came out in a neighborhood quite close to the area we had searched on Thursday morning, so hopefully the shreds of skin I left on the bushes and brambles will hold enough scent to guide Barbie this direction (if she's in that area yet!)

We got home by 10:00 am, and after a short break, John and I headed out to cover the parking lots at the mall with flyers.

My logic is that the more people who know about Barbie, the more likely it is that whoever sees her (or *has* her!) will be to call me. I don't care if they are motivated by reward, I just want my little girly back.

Beasley is feeling extremely clingy, and I don't blame him. I'm giving him extra cuddles to help him feel better. I think it helps me too.
