Subject: Search for Barbie Day 40
There must be at least 2 beagles still running loose in Marion if not more.
I've had more reports of a beagle being sighted near the 4-H fairgrounds and there's the pack of dogs with female beagle ringleader on this end of town.
I long for someone to call and say "I've got your dog here!".
As a special treat, John took me out to Kokomo for lunch and a Italian Cream Soda. I really needed that time away from the search to collect my thoughts and recharge.
Meggin is a spaz. I was coming out of my bedroom and she was waiting on the other side of the baby gate. The gate came loose and fell over... Meggin has been petrified ever since! I think she's just had so much trauma lately with being away from her home that everything comes as a complete shock to her.
Since her owners have not claimed her, I got a little tag that just says "Meggin" and my phone number to put on her collar. Not that I have a need to label everything in my house, but I just could see her slipping out the door and down the street, and have no way to find her back or identify her. She is not used to wearing a collar with tags, and seems to like jingling them around just for fun.
Meggin is no substitute for Barbie, that's for sure. However, it is a comfort to have this little ball of energy here to keep Beasley happy and make me smile!
