Subject: Search for Barbie Day 36

As of today, Barbie has been away for 5 weeks. It seems like forever!

A lady called this afternoon and said she thought she'd seen Barbie in town in the parking lot of the drug store. When she returned to double check, the dog she'd seen was nowhere in sight, but another lady told her that she thought the dog had possibly left with some people on foot. I'll bring another flyer to the drug store tomorrow in case there are repeated sightings in that area.

I've had no luck tracking down the gang of dogs (with female beagle ringleader) who is reported to be in the area near the G.M. plant, however, people in that area are on the lookout.

In order to find the owners of this little Beagle/Dachshund mix, I've put an ad in the paper and on the radio -- as well as contacting all the vets in town. She's now up to date on all shots & flea stuff due to the fact that I'm paranoid about spreading some form of disease into my own household. I sure hope her owners appreciate this! While we were there anyway, the vet checked for a microchip and she didn't have one. I had hoped that she'd have one and I could simply send her home the quick and easy way!

It would be so wonderful if I could make myself believe that Barbie is being treated as well as I'm treating "Meggin" (ok, so I can't have an animal in my house without a name.) But if she's at someone's house sitting on the couch eating bonbons, you'd think they would have called to at least check about the reward money don't you think?

Well, I'll just keep my chin up and hope for the best.
