Subject: Search for Barbie Day 35
What a day. I am exhausted both mentally and physically.
I had been so hoping that today would bring Barbie back home, but instead I'm sitting here fostering someone else's little beagle/dachshund mix until I can find her owners.
The poor little thing has been through two baths, had her nails clipped, ears cleaned, and is learning about being in a crate when I can't watch her. I was working with her on "sit" and "heel" just for the sake of it, and I think she would probably catch on fairly quickly.
At least when I locate the owners I'll be able to give her back in better shape than when she came to me this morning! Soon people will be losing dogs on purpose so they can have them groomed and trained while they're gone!
Maybe I'm just treating her like I want people to treat Barbie if they find her.
I just want my little girly back so badly. She's not just a beagle. She's a little person in a fur coat -- a child.
I got a call from a lady who had read the article in the paper, and realizing that I have beagle contacts wants me to help her place a little male beagle pup (no one has claimed him) I told her that I would give her all the help I possibly could. Her name is Debbie Wagner and her email is jdajbwag5@a... she is willing to foster the pup at her house short term. The pup had been shot with a pellet gun, but has been treated by the vet and is recovering nicely.
