Subject: Search for Barbie Day 27
Today, I decided that instead of visiting other churches and putting flyers on cars, I'd go to my own church and sit in the pew and be nurtured. I left after the service, really feeling like I'd made the right decision.
I got calls from several different people today, even though I hadn't gone out and flyered cars -- one from a school kid who lives in Sweetser, saying she'd seen a beagle near her school and also that her dog had been chasing one (possibly the same dog). Another call came in at about 9:45 pm saying that there was a beagle in the yard across the street from the caller's house and suggesting that I check and see if that dog could possibly be Barbie.
I *think* the second call is actually a little field beagle that Beasley and I have seen on our walks, but I'm not sure. We'll be making a walk past that house tomorrow to see for sure. The sighting in Sweetser is a slightly different story, since the beagle was seen running completely loose. It's a bit harder to locate a dog that isn't fenced in. However, I have contacts at a vet's office there in town, and I'll be checking in tomorrow to see if they've heard or seen anything.
My Dad is praying for a miracle to happen so that Barbie can be returned home. I believe in miracles!
