Subject: Search for Barbie Day 24

Hi everyone,

Well, the article in the newspaper hasn't brought Barbie back home yet, but it *has* generated a number of fresh sighting reports. It seems like there are lost beagles simply everywhere around here. I got several calls today from extremely different areas (like 10 miles apart from eachother). It's wonderful that so many people are keeping their eyes open for Barbie.

One man called this evening to say that his daughter's ex-boyfriend had found a beagle and used hair dye on it to change the color pattern... he thought maybe that dog could be Barbie, so I quickly drove out to check. It wasn't Barbie, but it *was* a young male pup with ears, head and part of his back dyed with Grecian Formula! Poor thing looked like an old man trying to hide his gray! I petted him for a few minutes, then quickly headed back for my car just in case the people in the house were wondering what on earth this strange woman was doing in the yard.

I'm so thankful for Mapquest and maps.yahoo.com. When people give me an approximate area to check, or an address to go to at least I can quickly find a map pinpointing where to go. I'm really learning a lot about the geography of this area, that's for sure.

You'd think with all those beagles running around loose, Barbie would surely be found and brought home to me. I'm not giving up hope.

In fact, I ordered some more new toys for her from Pets.com today. When she arrives home, she'll have so many toys she won't know which one to play with (or disembowel) first!

Goodnight,
Leann & Beasley
